We are too great a nation to limit ourselves to small dreams.

How your visits work

1

What is Physically Limiting you?

You’ll be asked a few questions and are tested to help us tailor our treatment. Finding the source of limitations or pain is easy, but the “why” is important and can take a few visits to resolve.

2

Personalized Treatment.

We’ll provide a hands on treatment and prescribed personalized exercise. Treatment should never be painful, rather it should “hurt good”.

3

Your Plan.

As you progress and reach your goals, your treatments change as we see fit. Once you no longer need PT, you may consider a monthly plan or per diem.

"Receiving treatment from American Muscle PT is a life changer. David showed me how my ankles were adding to my years of low back pain and sciatic nerve pain. I’ve never had someone work on my ankles, hips, and low back for low back pain. I’m back to exercising!"

— Christopher M., American Muscle PT Patient

FAQs

What is Functional Dry Needling?

Functional dry needling or FDN is dry needling based on muscles that need to be treated in order to restore normal function. It is not acupuncture. The only similarity with acupuncture is the needle. You might feel a quick prick then a deep ache as the needle goes in. Then you feel a painless tapping sensation during the stimulation process as the muscle resets and normal coordination is restored. As the muscle resets, it relaxes and may produce a stronger contraction with less pain.

What is Soft Tissue Mobilization?

Soft tissue mobilization or STM is massage that’s deeper but should hurt good. STM is focused on muscles, tendons, fascia, scar tissue, or the nervous system to, improve mobility, or inhibit or excite muscle to restore normal function.

What is joint mobilization?

Joint mobilization is mobilizing joints such as knees, shoulders, or the spine in order to restore normal movement. Joint mobilization can be prescribed in different grades (1-5) and is painless. Joint mobilizations can be applied in grade 1, a small joint movement to decrease pain to a grade 5, a quick thrust that may produce a popping sound.
